Platform I: The Non-Traditional Entrepreneur
Our Centennial Supreme Basileus, Soror Barbara A.
McKinzie, has given chapters five platforms to fortify the foundation
and heart of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. All five platforms
address Economics, Sisterhood, and Partnership. It is the first platform, the
Non-Traditional Entrepreneur, that Nu Xi Omega will implement by featuring
non-traditional entrepreneur on a monthly basis, both in our newsletter, Nu
News, and on our website: www.nuxiomega.org.
A non-traditional entrepreneur is a minority woman who has started her own
business. She is her own boss. Nu Xi Omega will feature each month sorors who
have realized that entrepreneurship is the key to economic success and survival.
Nu Xi Omega hopes that these features will increase the exposure of
non-traditional entrepreneurs, encourage collaborations and partnerships, and
inspire others to secure their own economic success.
